SARA Hello, are you Mrs. Matthews?
MRS MATTHEWS Good morning. Yes, I’m Mrs. Matthews. I’ve taken over the Hall since the Vicar’s wife died last month. Have you come to help with the jumble sale?
SARA Well, actually I’ve organised it. I meant to get here earlier, but..

SARA I’m so glad the tables are up.
MRS MATTHEWS I ALWAYS do that myself and put them away. People just don’t care, they don’t stack them properly. Well I must away and make the Vicar his coffee.
Exits. Sara starts to put out jumble.
Enter Joan and Marjorie carrying small bundles of clothes etc.
