MRS BAXTER Well, I mustn’t stay too long as I want to see as many people as I can today. You see I only heard this morning that two refugee families from Eastern Europe are being moved into the flats that have been empty for a month. Apparently they have been kept for that purpose.
KITTY Two families? Surely you should have been told before this?
MRS.BAXTER Yes, as a matter of courtesy I suppose we should have been, but this committee is purely voluntary, not official at all.
