Welcome to  Seagull Plays

I have been writing one act plays for small groups (of women of mature years) for more than 35 years.  I started because I could not find suitable material for my own group,  those on sale commercially were mostly historical or the  "who's for tennis?" type .  I have written comedies, pantomimes and dramas that can be performed in small halls, backrooms of pubs or even living rooms. I also have a number of Shorts and Fillers.  They are eminently suitable for inexperienced thespians and require little in the way of props.  They are cheap to buy as I just need to cover my expenses.

These scripts have been used successfully by groups from all over the UK and several have won awards in TG drama festivals as well as at The Blackmore Theatre, Exmouth.

All plays and pantomimes have basic settings which can be made as simple or elaborate as you wish to make them.   The songs have words written to traditional tunes but other songs may be substituted.     All but the Shorts and Fillers last about 30-40 minutes unless otherwise stated
